Connemara Bay

Dog's Bay has a spectacular horseshoe shape with more than a mile long stretch of white sandy beach. The sand is made entirely of fragments of seashells which give it a pure white colour. It can be found 2 miles from Roundstone, Co Galway, on the road to Clifden. Dog’s Bay lie back-to-back with Gurteen Bay.

This print is part of my “Wild Atlantic Way” art print series, a vibrant and contemporary collection of open edition prints inspired by the many signature landmarks along Ireland’s west coast. The Wild Atlantic Way stretches 2600 kms (1600 miles) and is one of the longest defined coastal routes in the world.
